The Greens Peak Stewardship (DxP) Contract is located in T9N, R26E, Sections 33, 34, 35 and T8N, R26E, Sections 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, and 11, Apache County, Arizona G&SRM. The Forest Service will receive technical and price proposals at the Springerville Ranger District Office, 165 S. Mountain Ave, PO Box 760, Springerville, AZ 85938 no later than 2:00 PM local time on July 9, 2019 for an estimated 13,320 tons of combined softwood sawtimber (12"+ DBH), 15,433 tons of combined softwood pulpwood (5"-11.9" DBH), 6,886 tons of dead sawtimber (9"+ DBH), and 694 tons of ponderosa pine and other sawtimber (12"+ DBH) designated for cutting. The mandatory stewardship item requires Mechanical treatment of designated pre-commercial trees (PCT) (>3ft. tall to 4.9" DBH) and piling of PCT and logging activity slash on 1017 acres. There is also an optional Stewardship Item for the removal of all pre-commercial trees and logging activity slash on 1017 acres. Bids will be evaluated on a best value basis and bidders must submit a technical proposal describing how the stewardship work will be completed. A per unit rate bid for the timber products is required, as well as, the per unit rate for completing the stewardship service work items. Offers will not be publicly opened or disclosed. The Forest Service reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
